For Elementary Students:

A favorite website for this topic is at Greenleaf Press.  They have a large variety of resources for Old Testament study here.

We like the 2-page spreads in this Children’s Illustrated Bible.  Each spread includes a summarized bible story with illustrations and archaeology information.

Living the Ten Commandments For Children, by Rosemarie Gortler

Hittite Warrior, by Joanne Williamson. A Living History Library Novel set in the time of the Judges (1200-1050 BC).  Beautifully written – my 9yo read it in 2 days.  Highly recommended for ages 8 to adult.

This picture book is almost comic-book style, yet tells in detail the story of Ruth and Naomi:
